Undertstanding by Design for Mathematicas using Technology  incorporates the following assumptions

Assumptions

  • Students would rather understand than not
  • Having a roadmap with a system to move forward asynchronously is a plus
  • Explaining a topic is a form of authentic assessment
  • Asynchronous learning is a plus
  • Having a FREE system allows installation on any computer with Internet
  • E-portfolio with the ability of screen capture and video will demonstrate learning
